‘Why do I keep having back pain?’
I would say out of all of the ailments that I come across that is the most recurring and the most debilitating is low back pain. Whether it’s from students coming to practice, or through friends and acquaintances talking about what they suffer from, it is so common that the lower back is an issue that effects people’s daily life the most.
So why is back pain one of the most common issue’s?
Back pain oftten comes from a twisted and rotated pelvis.
As someone who suffered from chronic low back pain and learnt how to heal my own back and others I can talk from experience that your back problems won’t go away with quick fixes.
There are many reasons people suffer from chronic low back pain, but the main culprit is from imbalances in the structure in the body. These imbalances need realigning. Some common issue’s that people suffer from I have given some suggestions for on this site that you can find here as a couple of examples:
I am writing this blog post to tell you that you can 100% heal your back problems, but you are going to have to do some consistent work to address the imbalances in your body. Potentially some lifestyle changes too.
When I say consistent work, I am talking about incorporating a regular yoga practice into your life. You don’t need to learn any ‘fancy’ or complicated movements to have a healthy and functional body.
Practicing for 20 to 30 minutes two to three times a week will make siginificant changes to your back pain.
I have personally explored more complicated movementt patterns for many other reasons, but a simple and basic yoga practice is more than sufficient to remove back pain from your life for good and to be able to contiune doing the things you love with less pain and better mobility.
You don’t need to be spiritual, vegetarian, or have any desire to become religious in any way to start doing yoga. Most people begin with a desire to feel better, more calm, and have less pain with no background in body movement.
Yoga is for everyone.
After years of testing and working with people of all ages any body types I put together a very progressive and simple yoga sequence designed to fix the body. You can read more about this here: The Element Series.
If this might be too much to begin with I have another option for people who want to start very small. My Back Pain Protocol system is aimed at anyone apprehensive about starting yoga and is simple, basic, effective and designed to relieve lower back pain.
